Come and visit the Venice of the North! The romantic city of Bruges, the capital of West Flanders. Often called the Cinderella city, Bruges is one of the best preserved medieval cities in Europe and fulfills the postcard criteria for the idyllic European town. This city offers vaulting Gothic steeples, cobblestone roads, and brisk bike-riding locals. There are many museums, churches, elegant homes and famous canals in the city. During the orientation tour, you may see the main sights such as the Belfort Tower, Palace of Justice, Town Hall and the Basilica of the Holy Blood. Explore the winding streets and canals on or shop for chocolate truffles or handmade lace and taste the famous Belgian beer! Don’t forget some scrumptious mussels and other seafood while you are near the North Sea.
Bruges Beer Festival features more than 300 beers from more than 70 breweries and eight top chefs cooking cuisine with beer. It is held below the ancient Belfry, which is located on the main market square in old historic Bruges and in the large heated tent on the Grote Market (main square). Both venues will accommodate 35 brewers. Combined with the brewers' booths, the separate Trappist, and spontaneous fermentation, more than 85 participants will gather. A wide variety that calls for an elaborate tasting!

Over 60 bunkers, observation posts and artillery positions and the open or subterranean corridors constitute one of the best preserved parts of the infamous German ATLANTIKWALL.
This defense line was built during the Second World War.
At ATLANTIKWALL Raversyde you can find the only preserved German coastal battery dating from the First World War, the Aachen Battery.
In the Flemish Hall, a few restored collection objects are displayed and you can visit an exhibition about the Second World War on the Belgian coast.
On the upper floor, you can admire the permanent exhibition ‘Atlantic Wall’ by Stephan Vanfleteren.
On the way back we will have a stop in Bruges with some free time to visit this beautiful city at your own pace.
