Tour 1: Visit Sebastiani's in the afternoon for Dinner and Winetasting

The Sebastianis Winery is located in Mehring in the Middle Mosel/Bernkastel area which is due to its southern-facing slopes one of the best areas for wines of great elegance. Your evening will start with a delicious warm German meal consisting of mixed garden salad with dressing, stuffed pork roast (Spiessbraten), a cream and cheese potato casserole (Au-gratin), and fresh German bread served at the vineyard home and will be followed by sampling a variety of Mosel wines. The history of German wines began with the ancient Romans who conquered the region about 100 B.C. and started cultivating grapes soon thereafter. The wines of the Mosel and its tributaries, the Saar and the Ruwer, are richly fragrant, pale in color and light-bodied with a lively, fruity acidity. Tour 3: Visit Castle Eltz, Bernkastel and Sebastiani's

We will start our day at a fairytale castle nestled in the hills above the Moselle River. Castle Eltz is still owned by a branch of the same family that lived there in the 12th century, 33 generations ago. It remained unscathed by wars and its architecture has no comparison. Many of the original furnishings form the past eight centuries can be seen. After the tour you will have some spare time to enjoy the breathtaking view from the castle grounds before we will head towards Bernkastel Kues.

Bernkastel Kues is famous for its beautiful old town and market square, and the castle which offers a beautiful lookout over the Moselle. Many well-known wineries are located here who participate in the annual wine festival wich is held every first week of September. The historical old town is a mace of town houses of the 16th and 17thcentury next to buildings of the 18th and 19th century which show the change of the course of time. Marvel at the half-timbered houses decorated with figures and elaborate carvings circling the market square with the “Michaels Spring” built in 1606 in the middle.
