Every year more than one million people visit Pützchens Markt, which is held on the second weekend in September on the Market Meadows in front of Bonn-Pützchen.

Pützchens Markt has grown into a huge fair with round about 550 businesses and fairground amusement covering an area of approximately 80,000 square meters to ensure undiluted fun, action and plenty of thrills. There is something for everyone, from steep, dizzying roller coasters to spine-chilling haunted houses. Numerous takeaways, bars and confectionery stalls mean you will not go hungry. In 2019 there were 9 new attractions!

A little bit of history:
Pützchen Markt has quite a history and rich tradition which dates back to 1367. This fair has been on the fair grounds called Pützchen since the beginning of the 18th century. According to lore the holy abbess Adelheid put her pole to the ground after a long dry season. In this spot water came out of the ground. The new well or "Pütz" provided the name for the village "Pützchen". Following it became a pilgrimage site which created the early Pützchen Markt with some artists, booths, traders and jesters.
